Steve Pfenninger, CPCU, CLU, CIC, ChFC
Steve Pfenninger is the owner and president of the agency. He is a third generation member of the firm, following
his grandfather J.J. Pfenninger and father Paul F. Pfenninger. After graduation from New Castle Chrysler High
School, and then Indiana University in 1974, Steve joined the agency in 1975. He received the Chartered Property
and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1982, Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) in 1988, Chartered
Financial Consultant (ChFC) in 1990, and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) in 1991. Steve remains active in
insurance education: "I can best serve my insureds by understanding their needs and how to effectively handle
those needs through risk management and insurance." While specializing in commercial insurance, Steve is also
eager to help you with home, auto, group, and individual life and health insurance.

Josh Estelle, CIC
Josh Estelle is a lifelong resident of Henry County. He joined the Pfenninger Agency in June, 2000, after graduating
from Wabash College in the spring. A standout athlete at New Castle Chrysler High School, Josh went on to Wabash
to become the all-time career scoring leader, and the only player in Wabash history to score more than 2000 points
during his four years. Not only did Josh receive All-American status as a Wabash player, he was also named
academic All-American in his senior year. Josh attended Safeco Insurance Company's commercial insurance
school in 2000 and received the award as top student in his class. Josh received his CIC
(Certified insurance councilor) designation in 2003. He is currently working on his CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty
Underwriter) designation which is 80% completed. He is
eager to help you with all of your insurance needs including home, auto, commercial, life, and health.

Debbie Poor
Debbie is a long-time staff member, returning for part-time duties after enjoying some time being a
stay-at-home mother. She’s busy with her 2 children, Zach & Hannah, and very involved in their
activities. She participates actively in her church and enjoys spending time with her family. She
lives on a small farm and enjoys horseback riding with her husband, David. She has wonderful knowledge
of details of various aspects of the insurance business. Her expertise in commercial lines allows her
to answer many questions, but she is also available to assist with personal insurance problems. She is
ready to discuss insurance matters at any time.
Amy Reece
Our newest agent, Amy Reece, joined our staff in January, 2007. She and her husband, Frank, have two children, Breanna and Bryce.
Breanna's competitive cheerleading activities keep Amy busy. The family enjoys sports, especially water-related ones in the summer.
Amy has been a licensed property and casualty agent since 2005 and is looking forward to pursuing licensing for life and health
insurance. Amy is experienced with computers and is helpful to our entire staff as our agency strives to improve use of automation
to improve customer service and efficiency in operations. Amy understands the market and is ready to serve the personal and
commercial insurance needs of our clients. Call our office and give Amy the opportunity to discuss and improve your insurance

Donna Judy
Donna came to the Pfenninger Agency in 1998 as bookkeeper. In addition to her accounting duties, she
keeps the office equipment running and purchases supplies.
She has been involved in various community activities as her son, Brian, and daughter, Suzanne, were
growing up. Brian is married with 3 children and Suzanne is married living in Indianapolis. Donna
enjoys being a grandmother. Her husband Jim works at Draper Shade in Spiceland. Donna is ready to
assist customers with any billing problems both personal and commercial. Her tenacity in resolving
problems is appreciated by customers and co-workers alike.
Edna Wheeler
Edna is a long-time employee of the agency and enjoys most areas of the insurance business. When she
doesn’t have a ready answer, she knows where to go for assistance. Her daughter, Nancy, is married and
lives in New Castle. Edna is a board member of Henry County United Fund and has been involved in many
community activities but her favorite times are spent with her grandson and granddaughter. The details
of the insurance business are fascinating to her and she is a constant motivator of other staff members.
Diana Chesher
Diana joined our staff in January, 2002. She is a New Castle native and married to Jeff. She is a
busy mother of 2 teenage daughters, Kaleigh & Katie, and active in her church. She is a licensed
agent and a Customer Service Representative. Diana specializes in personal lines and would be happy to
discuss your home and auto insurance. She is also qualified in Commercial lines and ready to assist
with any commercial insurance problems. Diana is knowledgeable about our automation system and
answers a lot of our questions about the rating and policy service of our various companies. Her
experience in working with adjusters and claims department allows her to provide excellent service in
